We are a metro dc area hiking group designed to get our pit bull type dogs out on hikes. We invite dogs of all types to join us. Hiking is great socialization for both dogs and their owners.

   It's a terrier world out there! Are you looking for an opportunity to take your Golden or Labrador (or other retriever) hiking and swimming, while burning off energy and hanging out with other Retrievers owners? I decided we needed a walking group for 50+ adults who enjoy walking for aerobic exercise at different scenic locations throughout the DC area on the weekend. (Friendly dogs [with owners who pick up after them] who enjoy walking along with their owners are also welcome.) The goals are good exercise and making connections with others who enjoy walking. It's more fun to walk with a friend than to walk alone. The walks will be two to three hours on non-strenuous terrain.
